Tracy Statement on Bears Leaving Chicago
CHICAGO — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Don Tracy released the following statement regarding reports that the Chicago Bears are moving to Indiana:
“For years, Democrat politicians like Governor Pritzker, Chicago Mayor Johnson and Lt Governor Stratton have made Illinois so expensive and so difficult to do business in that businesses with political clout or leverage often require special tax breaks and EDGE credits just to stay in Illinois. Meanwhile, away from the headlines, small businesses without political clout have been leaving Illinois in droves.
“The Bears’ departure is another warning sign that the Pritzker-Stratton ‘Illinois Blueprint’ is a recipe for governmental failure. Families are leaving Illinois. Businesses are leaving. Investment is leaving. Now one of the most recognizable brands in professional sports appears to be leaving too.”
Don Tracy is available for phone, video, and in-studio interviews.
