Tracy: Pritzker / Stratton Pro-Criminal Agenda Failing
SPRINGFIELD – Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain just warned that Illinois’ “cashless bail” system is contributing to overcrowded jails and more repeat absences in court. He also criticized lawmakers for enacting the system “with little-to-no consultation with sheriffs across the state who operate their county’s jail.” US Senate candidate Don Tracy released the following statement in response:
“The problem is JB Pritzker and Juliana Stratton have enacted the far-left, pro-criminal agenda championed by former Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson—including cashless bail, the SAFE-T Act, and the Trust Act. These policies have made our streets less safe and put families and businesses at greater risk.
“Defending the American Dream starts with safe streets, affordable living, and leaders who stand with law-abiding citizens, not criminals. Illinoisans are being crushed by rising costs while crime spreads from Chicago to our suburbs and small towns. In the U.S. Senate, I’ll fight for a common-sense agenda rooted in our shared Midwestern values: supporting law enforcement, holding criminals accountable, and protecting victims and law-abiding citizens.”
