Don Tracy for US Senate

Statement from Don Tracy on Pritzker-Trump Administration Legal Dispute

SPRINGFIELD – Don Tracy, candidate for U.S. Senate, issued the following statement on the ongoing federal court battle over the Trump administration's proposed deployment of National Guard units to support public safety efforts in Chicago:

"In response, U.S. Senate Candidate Don Tracy said: "Greg Hinz makes a compelling point: if a ceasefire can be negotiated in a conflict as complex as Gaza, surely President Trump and Governor Pritzker can find common ground to address Chicago’s escalating safety and immigration challenges. Yet, by digging in on partisan battles, Gov. Pritzker and Juliana Statton risk prolonging a crisis that holds Chicago families – especially those in our most vulnerable neighborhoods – hostage to intolerable levels of violent crime. This demands urgent, collaborative action at the negotiating table, not endless litigation or social media sparring that prioritizes political games over real solutions.

"It's deeply unfortunate that this dispute has devolved into a proxy for the 2028 presidential election rather than a focused effort to restore safety and stability to our streets. As your next U.S. Senator, I'll work to restore common sense in Washington by fostering genuine federal-state partnerships that prioritize public safety over political posturing. Safe communities are the foundation of the American Dream, giving every family the security to thrive, work hard, and build a brighter future. Let's put Illinois first by solving problems, rather than scoring political points."

Don is available for video and phone interviews on this topic, with some availability for in-studio discussions.
