Don Tracy Files Petitions to Make U.S. Senate Run Official
SPRINGFIELD – Don Tracy made his candidacy for the United States Senate official this morning by personally filing his nominating petitions with the Illinois State Board of Elections.
Tracy, who launched his campaign in mid August for the seat being vacated by Dick Durbin, filed with approximately 10,000 signatures of registered voters across the state, a testament to the widespread support for his common sense platform to defend the American Dream.
"This was a big volunteer effort, for which I thank every PC, supporter, and friend who circulated petitions in counties across the state. Because of you, we’re on the ballot now and ready to win statewide again,” said Tracy. “Everyday Illinoisans deserve strong leadership in Washington. I will work to lower the cost-of-living for working families, fight for common sense solutions over extreme agendas, and represent all of Illinois, not just Chicago.”
The Republican Primary is March 17, 2026. The General Election is November 3, 2026.
