Don Tracy: Democrats Abandon Farmers in the Midst of Harvest
SPRINGFIELD – The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) offices are shuttered—right in the middle of harvest season. The Democrats’ shutdown is threatening not only farmers at this critical time, but also the broader food supply chain and Illinois’ rural economy.
U.S. Senate Candidate Don Tracy issued the following statement:
“USDA offices across Illinois are closed today, leaving farmers without the loans, inspections, and support they need to keep food moving from farm to table. Agriculture is one of our state’s greatest strengths, but Chicago Democrats Raja Krishnamoorthi and Robin Kelly just pulled the plug on it. This shutdown threatens our farmers and drives up costs for every family in the state. Defending the American Dream means protecting our farmers, lowering costs, and making sure all of Illinois – not just Chicago – has a voice in Washington.”
Don is available for video and phone interviews on this topic, with some availability for in-studio discussions.
